Touch Section
Chipping Sodbury Touch Team was successfully launched in September 2021. Welcoming nearly 100 different players to date, we have a hugely diverse team ranging from the age of 14+ that is continuously growing.
Players have come not only come along from other sections of the club, but we have seen the return of retired players, those totally new to the game and even players from other clubs.

Matches and Training
Touch rugby training is Mondays 6:30 – 8pm and matches vary over the season with the majority on a Monday evening

Socials and More
No rugby team would be complete without a thriving social side. Joining the Touch team includes regular socials, including held through-out the year, bowling, pétanque, skittles, darts to name a few!
24 Hour Touch Rugby
The team ran a 24 hour Touch Rugby Game to raise funds to help Matt, a keen wheelchair rugby player with Cerebral Palsy to purchase his own made to measure chair to enable him to follow his dreams of one day playing at the Paralympics.
Over 120+ players took part in the 24 hour continuous touch rugby game that never stopped across a weekend! Supported by the rugby community, locals and even park runners who came across after their run to get involved we were able to raise over £6,600 for Matt and other members of the Taunton Gladiators Wheelchair Rugby Club.
