It is with great regret and sadness we bring you the news that one of our rugby family, Jeremy Harrod has passed away after a short battle with cancer.
Jeremy first arrived at the Chipping Sodbury club when his daughter Eleanor, started playing and soon found himself volunteering within the mini and youth committee and took upon the role of youth treasurer, a role he took on and held for more than 12 years, quietly serving the club and supporting anywhere needed, even stints in the kitchen helping prepare match day food for the youth section, he was always happy to put himself forward for any task.
Jeremy was an integral part of multiple youth chairman’s committees, even after his daughter had stopped playing, showing he was a true clubman through and through, who undoubtedly aided the growth of the section more than anyone could say and we truly appreciate him for all he did!!
Those who knew him or worked alongside him could not help but be drawn in by his distinctive character, his cutting wit, or his ability to put a smile on your face, a true friend and a great man who will be very sorely missed by all..
This is already being highlighted by many messages we have received, which will be passed on to the family.
We will advise an update on funeral arrangements and or any charities where donations can be made once this has been confirmed.
All our love, thoughts and condolences go out to Jill, Jess, Eleanor and family at this difficult time.
Goodbye our dear dear friend..
